The Ivens Hotel is a boutique retreat located in the heart of Lisbon, Portugal. Situated at the crossroads of Rua Ivens and Rua Capelo, it honors the legacy of Portuguese explorers Roberto Ivens and Hermenegildo Capelo. The hotel's design combines tropical exuberance with period charm, featuring vibrant colors, sumptuous textures, and ornate patterns inspired by the explorers' African expeditions. Common areas are adorned with tropical plants, macaws, and parrots, creating a lush, jungle-themed environment. The hotel offers 87 uniquely decorated rooms, including suites with city or river views. Designed by Cristina Matos, the rooms feature a muted palette to evoke tranquility. The hotel also includes three dining areas, offering Italian cuisine and ocean-inspired dishes. Its location in a historic 19th-century building adds to its charm, reflecting Lisbon's cultural heritage. The Ivens provides a blend of adventure and comfort, making it an oasis in the bustling city.
