Ulrich Kamka Chomche is a Cameroonian professional basketball player born on December 30, 2005, in Bafang, Cameroon. He stands at 6 feet 11 inches tall with a remarkable 7 feet 4 inches wingspan. Chomche's journey began when he joined the NBA Academy Africa in Saly, Senegal, at the age of 14. This marked a significant turning point in his career, providing him with top-notch coaching and a world-class education. He quickly gained recognition for his defensive skills, earning the Defensive MVP title at the 2022 Basketball Without Borders camp in Cairo. Chomche's professional career took off when he played for FAP in the Basketball Africa League (BAL) in 2022. He later joined REG in Rwanda for the 2023 BAL season. In 2024, he was drafted by the Memphis Grizzlies with the 57th overall pick but was immediately traded to the Toronto Raptors. Chomche became the first player to be drafted directly from an NBA Academy and the first former BAL player to enter the NBA. Currently, he plays for the Raptors and Raptors 905 in the NBA G League. Chomche is also part of the Cameroonian national team, having debuted in the 2023 World Cup qualifiers.
