Washington Nationals (City Connect)

Sports uniform

About

The Washington Nationals' City Connect uniforms pay homage to the iconic cherry blossoms of Washington, D.C., symbolizing hope and new beginnings. The jerseys feature an anthracite base color with a cherry blossom print and pink trims, reflecting the vibrant colors of spring in the nation's capital. The "WSH" graphic on the front represents the city's neoclassical architecture, while the District of Columbia flag is displayed on the left sleeve and socks, honoring the city's heritage. These uniforms were part of Nike's MLB City Connect series, which debuted during the 2022 season. They were worn during select games and made their on-field debut on Opening Day Weekend. The cherry blossom motif was also incorporated into various merchandise and stadium elements, such as souvenir cups and ice cream helmets. The Nationals and Wizards collaborated on this theme, celebrating the city's iconic flower. The uniforms will be retired after the 2024 season, making way for new designs in 2025.
