Picos de Europa is a sanctuary for Iberian wildlife, hosting emblematic species such as the Cantabrian brown bear and the Iberian wolf, which can be observed with local guides. The park is also a hotspot for ornithology, with a healthy representation of raptors like Griffon vultures, Golden eagles, and Peregrine falcons, easily spotted in its skies and cliffs.
