Geisha, also known as Gesha, is a rare and exquisite coffee variety renowned for its complex flavor profile. Originating in Ethiopia, it gained fame after being cultivated in Panama, where its unique characteristics were fully realized. Geisha coffee is distinguished by its floral bouquet, often described as jasmine, along with notes of bergamot and citrus. It also exhibits tea-like qualities and sweetness reminiscent of stone fruits like peach and mango. The cultivation of Geisha coffee requires meticulous attention to soil quality, microclimates, and high altitudes, typically above 1,600 meters.
