Yangdup Lama is a renowned Indian bartender, bar owner, entrepreneur, author, and mixologist. Born in Gayabari, Kurseong, he developed an interest in bartending while studying hotel management. Lama's career began at Hyatt Regency Delhi, where he transitioned from a food and beverage server to a bartender at the prestigious Polo Lounge. He later founded "Cocktails & Dreams," a mobile bartending service, which evolved into Thirsty Three Hospitality. His entrepreneurial ventures include "Cocktails & Dreams, Speakeasy" in Gurugram and the "Cocktail and Dreams Beverage Studio" in Delhi. Lama co-founded "Sidecar," a cocktail bar in New Delhi, which became India's best bar in 2021 and featured in Asia's 50 Best Bars. He was the first Indian to be named in Drinks International's Bar World 100 list and received the Roku Industry Icon Award in 2024. Lama is also known for his innovative use of local ingredients in cocktails and his role as the American Whiskey Ambassador to India. His contributions to India's bar culture have been instrumental in elevating its international reputation.
